How is Gigi different from other makeup artists?
Passion & Professionalism are at the core of Gigi's long career.
After 812 hours of makeup artistry training and education at the most accredited makeup institution in the US, Gigi earned her Master's Program Certificate from Makeup Designory in New York City at the top of all her courses. Following her schooling, she built up her resume by working a variety of TV production, runway and magazine print jobs leading her to mentorships from some of NYCs finest artists. Now located in sunny South Carolina, Gigi continues to learn from renowned bridal artist Galya Gornishka and further her knowledge, artistry, and experience.
Which payment methods does Gigi accept?
Cash, Venmo, Apple Pay or Credit! If you're opting to Venmo please note that if you select the 'goods/service insurance' a 1.9% service fee applies- the additional cost must be covered by the client. For Example, If your bridal booking retainer fee is X, and you select the insurance option be sure to send X plus the fee to cover the difference. All bridal payments must be fully complete before the wedding, so your only concern is gratuity!
I want to come with a friend — does Gigi offer package deals?
Unfortunately, package deals are not offered at this time. Referring a friend however is always good karma!
What makeup brands does Gigi carry?
With over 50 different brands in her professional makeup kit, Gigi has fine-tuned a broad selection of luxury skincare and makeup products for her clientele. Brands such as Dior, Kiehls, Laneige, One Size, Nars, Makeup Forever, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay, Bodyography, Charlotte Tilbury, Benefit and many more.
How far in advance do I have to book?
Bridal services require advanced booking and scheduling with a minimum of 6-12 months before the event. Once a date is booked it no longer becomes available for further bookings so securing your wedding date is key. Inquire about your event regardless, as last-minute accommodations may be possible!
Do you travel? Is there a fee?
Bridal bookings receive on-site service that is calculated at the time of booking. For all other appointments, lessons, and photoshoots- Travel is an optional add-on that will be calculated at the time of contract signing. Gigi's in-home studio located in Port Royal is where most clients opt into. Out of state or country weddings are certainly welcome!
Is Parking/Tolls included in the price?
If you're getting ready at a venue, Valet parking is charged to your room due to the logistical simplicity and timing. Hotels may provide complimentary parking for wedding vendors however you may need to set that up in advance otherwise parking fees may be charged to your room or paid on the day of your event. Tolls will be calculated at the time of booking with an added flat fee.
What is the booking process?
Scroll down on the home page to find the inquiry box, fill in the required information and add as much detail as possible about your event. If this is a bridal booking- include a headcount of services, if you're interested in a trial and any additional pertinent details. If there is availability, then a contract with a quote will be emailed back shortly. Once the fully signed and initialed contract is received back with the non-refundable retainer fee then and only then will the calendar day close to other bookings if this pertains to bridal.
For Weddings, How do I prepare for the Bridal Preview or Trial?
1. Schedule your visits with your favorite esthetician! Great Skin=Great Makeup. Monthly visits are encouraged.
2. Arrive at your appointment with a freshly washed clean face.
3. Make sure to wear a WHITE top this is optimal.
4. Narrow down your bridal inspiration images to 3 and have them handy.
5. Arrive on time!
What should I expect on the day of the Wedding or special event?
Prior to your event, logistics will be already organized and scheduled. This allows space to build in sufficient time to park and get fully set up before start time. On time is late, expect artist arrival at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time!
Do you do hair or know anyone who does?
Light hair styling services are offered by request only but primarily for photoshoots. For weddings, a list of experienced stylists depending on availability may be able to perform hair styling services and a bridal hair trial making your life easier with just one contract and one point of contact for both your hair and makeup needs!
